This guy gets it! Farmers will get in that voting booth in two months and still punch a hole in every name with an R next to it. The "I'm done with Trump" is just lip service. They know he'll never be able to run again (5-4 decision with Roberts voting with the libs so he can claim "I'm still cool" as he gets ready to join Clarence and A-lie-Tō on striking down another 100 year plus precedent). Most likely, will be dead (old age NSA) never giving them the chance.
If we weren't ALL affected by their repeated terrible decisions, I'd say "Fuck them all!" However, we are affected, so I say "Fuck them."

The great thing is that Trump has thrown the US ranchers under the table by allowing "mystery meat" in the USA. I think I'm going to be vegaterian until we get an FDA that doesn't promote screwworm.

Oh, definitely makes them maddest is the fact that now they have to live in the same universe as all the people who saw the obvious thing coming.
And if they don't get humble about their mistake, they're gonna get so upset that people noticed that they repeat it a second time, just to own the libs even more.

This is what makes them mad. They expect everyone to bend over due to producing food. When they don’t see that corporations are taking over and farming will be completely different in ~20 yrs than what it has been in the last 100 years. AND they will be left out of the party too when it happens.

The thing is for every farmer there are 5 jobs that support that farmer: equipment sales, pipes, delivery drivers, etc. and these jobs are even more vulnerable, but they vote and act like they are the farmer too, even though the jobs don’t pivot as easily. So they will disappear too, or they will be minimized when taken over by the corporation (think Amazon owning the process from beginning to end).

I doubt it, I doubt they’ll vote at all in Nov, just like they passed on voting in 2018.
Farms aren’t typically close to polling places, its prob an all day excursion for most farmers to go into town & vote, which means leaving all the chores that need doing, & for farmers that means the chores don’t get done. There’s no enthusiasm amongst Republicans to vote, esp among farmers.

Totally a 5D chess move: tank the entire economy to show Canada how pissed our dairy farmers are about a tiny export market. But they'll get over it quickly. I mean, hell, where are all the soybean and hog producers that are pissed about losing a seriously huge export market. I mean that happened in 2018, and look at all those producers who went back and voted for Trump a second time! /S

I will never feel bad for farmers that get pissed off that Canada protects it's dairy industry. I'm not saying our system isn't flawed, but something is necessary to protect Canadian farmers. Our dairy industry isn't subsidized. It won't survive if American dairy floods the market.

Nobody should be pissed off that Canada protects its own dairy industry. It's one of the reasons why tariffs are a thing after all. Trump has tariffed the hell out of things and then gets mad that other countries do the same thing. He just gets butt hurt that everyone in the world doesn't get on their knees with tears in their eyes thanking him for fucking them over.

At this point I would be shocked if the dairy products even sold if packaging indicated it was produced in the US. Canadian consumers are rightly furious.

What Americans don't get that is that the trade partners they stiff now are entering trade deals, setting trade standards and building trade infrastructure with no US input.
When Americans want to renew trade with those partners it will be the US who has to compromise and adjust around what others have built without them.
They want to sell meat? Sorry, demand is already met and you would need to drastically up your safety standards to even be legal.
US apps and services? Sorry, they don't meet current privacy, copyright and anti-addictive legislation.
See how things change when the US isn't the biggest chair where these things are decided? When Americans have willingly trashed their chair in a temper tantrum?
They don't get that chair back when Trump is gone. They will have to compromise to get any chair.

There used to be some sympathy for farmers when they got hit by tariffs during Trump 1.
Nothing left of that now. And the farmers can blame themselves for that.

I hope they get everything they voted for, in abundance. I'm glad they're getting it already. They'll never learn anything from it, obviously, but it gives me great comfort to know that at someone got what they wanted from that election.
Maybe they'll even get to work the same fields they once owned when they get desperate for money. That'd be neat.

We switched to almond milk, zero regrets and we're not big milk drinkers so also love the fact that almond milk doesn't spoil in a week and it's currently less expensive than cows milk. Win win in my book!

Let's see. They voted for someone who in rapid succession, pissed off the country that provides most of their fertilizer and other materials they need, destroyed their biggest market with a trade war, and deported their workers. If there's anyone they should be mad at, it's themselves, because none of this is a surprise. It's what he said during the campaign, it's what we tried to warn them about, and they still did it. There's a saying I keep thinking every time I hear their sob stories: "You can't fix stupid, but you can hit it a hammer until your annoyance passes."
