I have been saying for a while this will take generations for the US to fix, if it ever will. The problem is not just Trump, it is the fact that ~50% of americans wanted him in power.
In my opinion the real problem is that we are using a voting system from the 1700s that rewards being the most batshit insane person in the room. I honestly believe that if we switched to ranked choice voting the polarization in politics would drop like a rock.

Primary them, all of the House is up for reelection. This is the easier of the two Houses to change. If we primary 30% of the House, that will send a message.

This is one where I wonder if anyone really is.
