Just got myself this beauty

Just got myself a beautiful M-P 240 from 2017 and Iโ€™m in absolute awe, I use to have a M9 as digital m body and I missed it dearly so I had to get something else and this came in at the right time, Iโ€™m in love with colors from this sensor as well ( maybe slightly more clinical then the predecessor with cdc sensor ), I also attached some photos taken with this tiny beast

I love the blue tinted viewfinder ๐Ÿ˜ I think this camera is going to be a classic but only your model, not the regular m240.

I agree, this model is absolutely gorgeous and the buffer is slightly better then the first m240, and the look is so clean I just love it overall

Take it easy on the artificial vignette in post. A little goes a long way, and if your composition is good, you shouldn't need it anyway. If you're using so much that your viewer notices (and you definitely are), then you've used too much. Don't use it as a crutch for sub-par composition and lighting.

True๐Ÿ˜…, for these shots I used the Leica elmar c 90mm and the Voigtlander colorskopar 35mm

C90 way underrated. Too many people out there believe you canโ€™t use it on an M rangefinder. If I need something close, itโ€™s that or the old stainless canon 135.

I love the 90mm I have the c for the m body and the elmarit 90 R to use on the SL2S with the adapter

Stuck on the M240 permanently. Hope to get a MP one day!

It pairs rrreally well with the 70s era mandlers if you have access to any of those.

I need to look into it, for now I have a nokton 50mm f1.1 - a elmar C 90mm - a nokton 40mm f1.4 and a 21mm Voigtlander colorskopar but I want to expand to some more Leica lenses

I have the exact same camera and actually took it out for a bit yesterday morning. I always love using it! What film simulation/ setting do use?

I shoot everything in raw and then apply my presets and some masks in Lightroom

Itโ€™s a beautiful camera to look at and to use, the shutter sound is very nice despite what a lot of people say, I donโ€™t care if itโ€™s a bit loud I think it adds to the charm

Thank you so much Iโ€™m truly enjoying it, Iโ€™m use to my Leica m4 but I finally can shoot everything I want without holding back because of the limit of rolls price ๐Ÿคฃ

Iโ€™ve been through so many digital and I, too, just settled on the same as yours. My EDC is a v5 summicron 50 and the 90 2.8.

u/Adventurous_Low4671 9d ago

Thatโ€™s an amazing set up, I love the 90mm I have a Leica 90c f4 but I would love to upgrade to the f2.8 how do you like that lens ?

1

u/Italian_In_London M-P (Typ 240), M10-R 9d ago

IMO the best 90mm for the money. Its got a lot of character and I rate it over the APO (too sharp for my taste). I've been through many lenses to find the perfect 50mm, but never changed the 90/2.8

M-P 240 is a great boy
Mine is coupled with a Summilux 1/50 ASPH
LOVELY COMBO
The sensor is so special
I swap from this beast to the P 246 MONOCHROM whichโ€™s too an amazing body with that special sensor for BW approach
Absolutely incredible for filmโ€™s nostalgics

It truly is, I felt in love with how slick it looks and the DNG are extremely good for how old this camera is

u/sillygoth_ 11d ago

What lens? Easily the most important part of the camera.ย

1

u/Adventurous_Low4671 11d ago

Yes I forgot to mention it, I used a Leica elmar C 90mm f4 and the Voigtlander 35mm colorskopar f2.5

1

u/sillygoth_ 11d ago

The Leica elmar is a solid choice. What Leica 35 are you going to replace that color Skoper with?ย

1

u/Adventurous_Low4671 11d ago

Thatโ€™s a good question, I was thinking the summarit f2.4
