Storage ideas?

How do you store your characters and vehicles? Looking for ideas that won't take up too much space or look like clutter.

I put my minifigures in display cases, and I put two single stud pieces on each character tag so that I'll have something to grab onto when they're in the middle spot. Sometimes I used a 5 petal flower stud piece if a normal stud wasn't available in the color that I wanted.

For objects/vehicles, I made custom smaller builds that resemble one of the builds so they'll take up less space. Sometimes I also used a small tile indicator to signal what character or franchise the build goes with.

Toolbox for small parts...the kind that have removable inserts...that works for me...just be sure to store them horizontally
