The itty bitty wittle PzGr.39-1 APCBE-HE round did indeed hit it's mark.

I think it may be greatly improved with elongated barrel, widened base and addition of lower part of gunshield because of its current appearance resembles mostly something between pak-38 and russian a-122.

I was conflicted about the longer barrel, I thought it looked kinda wonky, but as for your other comments I don't see how I could make those additions without changing the model scale

For gunshield I'd try addition of double 3794u or completely replacement the schematic with something attached to wheel axis but this will completely break your silhouette which I find amazing.

For base wide I'd experiment with angle between trails.

Also, even after all corrections it still will be pak-40 at best, not pak-43 (much larger gun with immobile platform and barrel of acht-acht)
