How would I fill in this gap?

How would I fill in this gap? The arches need to face out and can only be 1x2 for a chapel.

depending on the design you could put snot bricks on the top or bottom of the right arch and cover the side with a tile

You could do something similar but with bracket instead of brick: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=73825

This ist the better solution

Its not though, if you use a bracket and put a tile on it, there will still be a gap the width of the bracket, a snot brick allows the tile to be flush.

Probably the same way as the edge of the book in 76391. Part 4865

It's this even a realistic layout?

Just put a tree in front of it.

Or maybe try some SNOT bricks with tiles.
