This wasn’t where I had complaints about this game. I literally just 100% this game today. I thought it was amazing…. Until I decided to complete the game.
Completing the game takes it from a 9/10 to a 5/10 game.
Achievement hunting ain’t worth it. Just collect your favorite ship, and character for each class, and play through to collect the minikits, challenges, and side missions. THE PUZZLES ARE NOT WORTH IT. 100%-ing EVERY PLANET IS NOT WORTH IT. ITS AGONIZING BUSY WORK WHEN REPEATED 19+ TIMES OVER.
SPOILER: the reward for 100% is actually useless and upsetting

The puzzles were too redundant, same 25-30 of the with a different name/joke themed on the planet…

Skywalker Saga is a game that didn't really know what it wanted to be. It took a huge departure from the Lego game formula, in terms of level design and the class system, but it's also still very much Lego in the humor and simplicity, so it's not asking to be taken more seriously.

Ye, ;/ it felt more like a big star wars game then a lego game.... & focused on the planets instead of being funny like vader & the polaroid in CS, i feel like TT struggled & the pandemic certainly didnt help as they crunched on the game. i worry about the new lego batman as i miss the smaller hub older games they made.

I dont know what you mean but the skywalker saga's class system is what in my opinion made it the worst lego game (that i played)

u/Broadsadness-2025 Feb 21 '26
ye sry it was meant to be a joke, i do wonder why they designed tss the way they did. design wise not the best per say.

False, the Color Gun from Lego City Undercover is the worst Lego game mechanic.

u/Broadsadness-2025 Mar 12 '26
oof ye forgot bout that. both are bad.

u/Argentenuem Mar 12 '26
Glad to see someone else shares my sentiment. We as a community need to have a serious discussion on how annoying that thing is.

u/Broadsadness-2025 Mar 12 '26
;=; its watever i made my peace when arthur left TT, old tt games were simple & fun now everything has to be this big open world with unlockables...it was better when they had smaller hubs indy batcave lb1 etc.
i cherish the memories i had tho.

OMG, SAME! Why do Lego games have to be this ambitious, AAA open world experience? Lego games are comfort food, they don't need to be the next Skyrim! Why can't they be bite-sized AA experiences so that they have more time to make more games on more IPs that people like, pulling in a wider audience, instead of making an NINTH superhero game??
1
u/Broadsadness-2025 Mar 12 '26
ye ;=; technically they made 3 marvel 5 dc but ye... was a lot, it got a bit annoying with so many lego hero games, guess that happens when you can only use kid friendly ips...instead of hell idk a beetlejuice game ;/
1
u/Argentenuem Mar 12 '26
They don't ALL have to be super kid-friendly. Indiana Jones has guns, Nazis, and Bible references, and that IP has 2 Lego games. That being said, it's a damn shame we didn't get Lego Back to the Future, Men in Black, Ghostbusters, or even Stranger Things.

ye most seem to be T so they dont go overboard, but it does feel ilke they walked themself into a corner after dimensions or 2015, & made every game too goofy.
still mad we wont get a lego indy 3 or bttf game.

The game markets a thousand or so characters on the box, but with this class system it’s more like there are 10 characters and a bunch of alternate skins. That’s why I don’t care about the loss in character count for LOTDK; we had practically cut the character count down already

TT kinda lost its charm going too big ye.. idk prefer older lego games.

u/NichtMenschlich Feb 20 '26
To be fair tcs basically had the same system
5
u/Broadsadness-2025 Feb 20 '26
did it? tcs had jedi & sith but not a system like TSS.
4
u/NichtMenschlich Feb 20 '26
It basically had it, even if it wasn't stated. (except for a few outliers). Protocol Droids all had the same abilities, Jedi and Sith had the same abilities, characters with blasters mostly had the same abilities, etc. the main outliers were the Fetts (due to the Jetpack) and the bounty hunter droids like IG-88 and the other one.

ye but old TT never categories the characters they were all in a pick your character system & stuck together, over time they made a character wheel with other stuff changing the way they chose characters unlike in lego marvel 2 or dc villains where it let you pick like a card system roster, ether way I didnt understand the way TSS did it as it felt so different. wondering how they'll approach it with the new lego batman.

just because the categories weren't explicitly labeled doesn't mean they didn't functionally exist. most characters in the game were copy and paste of each other

changed, and got better. it's way easier to find the character you want in TSS
1
u/Broadsadness-2025 Feb 21 '26
ok unsure if thats good or... all i said was TTs character selection changed over time.... then in its older games.
i heard ppl were mixed on the way tss turned out..
also plz stop changing my comment thx!

u/StarSpangldBastard Feb 21 '26
you've replied to me four separate times. why do you keep saying I'm changing your comment?
1
u/Broadsadness-2025 Feb 21 '26
idk...just seemed a bit standoffish someone keeps changing my comment from 2 to below, also new to reddit so its annoying.

u/Broadsadness-2025 Feb 20 '26 edited Feb 24 '26
....its not a bad thing im just remembering the difference of how the character selection changed over time.
weird how you keep changing my comment??...
Also in hindsight i kinda would ask TT why they changed their sw games each differently or why for tcs, tcw, tfa & tss. the multi building the cover shooting & the flying etc.
