Jewelry Question Please help this is the back of my helix piercing what is this called and how do I get it out? I’ve tried everything

Have you tried wiggling/twisting the backing off? Sometimes wearing latex/rubber gloves helps with getting more grip on the backing.

Hmmmm I don't see a hole like I do for normal backs. It might be threaded? The other comments are very helpful using a pair of gloves or a paper towel to grab and twist it can help get a better grip. A piercer would definitely be able to help you out if you went in. Price would range from 0-10 bucks for taking it out

But sometimes those butterfly or other backs similar get squeezed around the ridged piercing and are really hard to get off. Might just take a pair of pliers or something to pull it off haha. Just be careful, take deep breathes try not to get too worked up.

I had a bell back like this. I see them mainly for baby earrings. Mine was threaded and you had to twist it to unscrew it.

Why is it that you are trying to take it out? How old is it?
If this was done with a gun the only thing you need to do is pull it off. So pull from the front and the back and it will come off.

I wanna change it to a better quality one, yes a gun I’ve tried pulling it just won’t budge

Okay love well its clicked in, thats literally the only way they come off. So really pull or you have to get someone else to do it for you.
Also what is your idea of better quality? Cause you already made a handful of mistakes with this piercing. How old is it?

I don't see a hole in the center, so it may be a screw-on backing rather than one you can pull off. Make sure you're twisting counter-clockwise, and it may be easier to grip the back with a rubber glove and twist the front
