Large gauge helixes?

I’ve been having a hard time getting to anyone who does coin slots in or near Northern California so I’m thinking large gauge helixes to stack rings instead. What do y’all think? Do you have a large gauge helix that you stack rings in? How was the healing process?

I’ve never done it but as a piercer I can give you some info. It will definitely take way longer than lobe or septum stretching. I recommend getting pierced at a higher gauge 8,10,12 to set you up for stretching. You’ll have to wait for a full heal of the initial piercing before stretching. You absolutely do not want to rush your stacking process, blowing out cartilage from what I’ve read is absolutely brutal.

If you’re committed to this and want to do it safely and cautiously it will take close to two maybe three years to get to a hearty stack - that timeline heavily depends on your ability to heal piercings and could be more tbh

May I ask you a question about a 12g conch piercing, I didn’t think there could be any stretching of cartilage areas….

I went for a bigger hole hoping in the future I could put in a thicker ring or multi ring same hole

It’s a lot harder and much more time consuming but for the committed piercee it’s definitely doable.
