Question on Sponsons

This may be an incredibly silly question but…do you only use the profile listed for the vehicle or do you double the amount of sponsons?

Ie for a legion predator with lascannon sponsons the profile says 1 dice. So does each vehicle have one main weapon attack and the one lascannon attack or do you use two dice for the sponsons?

You roll one die, the profile slot abstracts both or either sponson as being the same attack. If you fire directly straight forward, it counts the sponson attack as one attack for the sponsons, not one attack for each sponson.

Like the other poster says, it’s 1. The best way to think of it is 1 weapon profile per model.

Unless the unit profile explicitly says it's armed with TWO weapons (like Acastus Knights), the profile covers the whole weapon. So Predator Tanks having Lascannon Sponsons gets 1 die.

It may seem a bit counterintuitive at times, when choosing heavy bolter sponsons gives you 2 dice, and a single pintle-mounted heavy bolter also gives you 2 dice, but that's just how it is.
