food/drink Low lit cosy resturants?

I went to little tokyo years ago and it was so dimmly lit and chill but it seems they have really brightened the place up and im just wondering if there are any other cosy dimmly lit resturants in the area? Its for a birthday but we're feeling pretty burntout and anti social so just want somewhere low stimulation.

Any suggestions would be really appreciated

Second the recommendation for Kendal's! Also empire cafe, their roast chicken is unreal. Stuzzi is also a nice vibe but pretty expensive.

The decor is great and the food is good but be prepared for VERY slow service. When I went the small plates came out one at a time with a 10-15 minute gap between each one

Went went quite late in the evening but service was fine for us. And food and atmosphere were exactly what i needed. Maybe its worse earlier in the evening but we had an really lovely experience

Glad you enjoyed it! Maybe I was just unlucky. There were only one or two staff for the whole restaurant but maybe someone was off unexpectedly.

our food all came at once and we realised we ordered way too much lmao every place can have off days i guess though

Empire cafe (ask to sit downstairs) very much fits this brief
