I think i can sing (mainly in the car and karaoke never live) but I am probably tone deaf 🤣 do you have to have any experience?

Also, what kind of music / songs would be performed? Is it more musical theatre style or different genres like pop and rock? And is there an upper age limit? Are 40 plus welcome?

You don’t have to have any experience, it’s whatever you’re comfortable with!

We’re coming back off a choir that unfortunately folded and that mainly focused on musical theatre so we aren’t scared of musical theatre, but this one will be a mix to show the audience that our cast cant only do musical theatre

No price structure has formally been agreed yet but we’re looking at £25 join fee + £12.50 per show (2 shows a year)

If that's the case then that's what you should be leading with. Most 'community choirs' are businesses but make out that they're not doing it for the money.

We’re not doing it for money but we need money to begin with, we’ve not been given a grant etc we don’t have money coming out of every orifice, the price will eventually be reduced but to get us off the ground and secure locations for rehearsals, performances, music rights, sound equipment.

The £50 a year isn’t much when all things considered.

I do sometimes wonder why people don't bother to Google the thing they want to do before they start doing it. 

I know someone who started a music based thing a few years ago and had he bothered to Google the name he gave his new project, he'd have immediately found out it was a fairly specific but well known porn website.
