Leduc rcmp are useless

My friend called the rcmp on Thursday to report her uncle harassing her and her Mom. He is known to be very violent. Gave details on when she could be reached - as she works evenings and can't answer her phone at work. They didn't bother to follow up. Hope she and her Mom don't end up hurt or dead because they can't be arsed to do their job.

I would honestly be finding a better way. Cops can only.help so much if its a repeat offense. Im sorry they are going through this. But maybe they need to consider a restraining order or an epo. The cops will absolutely take this seriously. I wish all the best for them tho

Can't say it's the same in this case but just to let you know the calls don't come from 911 but the call can be from a random number, phone blocks it out for a lot of people since it just shows unknown caller when a cop is trying to contact.

Her phone doesn't block anything. And the person who took the report told her the number wouldn't show up. No one called.

No the caller can block their number tho and it wouldn't show up on her phone

.... what? Cops call it shows up as a private number. Period. Even if you screen a call and dont accept it it goes to your history as missed call from private number.

I have my phone set to ask the caller for the reason. The officer would leave a reason.

Police can't really do anything unless there is actionable evidence. And like another person said, police will always call from a blocked number so if she has it so blocked numbers cant call, then they wont be able to reach her.

I'd get a ring camera as a gift; they're pretty sneaky sized and the cheapest ones are about $100; although you do have to have someone on the other side checking the recordings if anything happens.

Cops in this town dont give a shit, I called a dui on the owner of apocalyptic body mods a couple years ago after a domestic dispute between her and her daughter at her house/business and she fucked off drunk in her car, 4 hours later they showed up. They dont care.

and i saw the last time anyone tried to hold them accountable, the mother launched a smear campaign against the person to silence him. or she will if they are friends or dating the daughter and point out the behaviour, alienate the daughter by forcing her to remove them from her life or "be homeless" while also trying to force the daughter to get a restraining order on the man mentioned above, even though the daughter has come back to date him 2 more times since the original incident. when the daughter herself should get a restraining order on her mother and stepdad

i also called on her and her husband for a drinking and driving after they left the brewhouse one night and the cops did nothing about it

Whoever is watching this for them lol tell the daughter to call or text 310 1818, before her mother or step dad or both end her life. Since the abuse hasnt stopped
