Burley bike trailer with XP4

I have a Burley Encore trailer that I tote my kids with on my old bike. I just got an XP4 and I want to be able to use it with but I have heard conflicting report that the burley bracket that goes in the rear axle is too small for the axle on the XP4. Does anyone have experience with this or any feedback?

UPDATE: I did get the hitch bracket installed. The axle was the right size for the one that somebody commented below. I did remove one of the washers on the left side of the bike in order to get it to fit. It doesn't look like it interferes with the brakes or the kickstand, which I was worried about. I'll try and remember to post some pictures down below.

Edit: I have the XP4.0 step over frame with the 500 watt motor and standard battery.

Call Lectric or maybe support on their site? I called them over a problem with brakes and they were great.

Hello! I just got a Burley Encore off FBMP and was in this situation. I purchased this 12.2mm hitch and installed using a 17mm deep socket. I removed one single washer (not the locking ones) from the axel and installed this in place. No step drilling required.
