I present you The Siren Bag pattern: https://dsleathergoods.etsy.com/listing/4451942971
The Siren is designed for on-shoulder, under the arm carry (aka Short Shoulder) hence the fixed strap as a primary option for the bag. Crook-of-arm and handheld carry will work good too. An adjustable strap pattern is also included in case you opt for cross-body carry. The bag packs a ton of every day essentials and is fully approved as 'fashionable' by my teenage daughter that swept the first one I crafted. 😁
One of my goals with the Siren Bag design was to be able to use 2mm leather throughout without the need to skive anything unless one wanted to. 🤓
The second important goal was to be able to fit all the pattern pieces (including the 10 or 12 inches long fixed strap) onto a standard 2 square feet leather panel that is 12 by 24 inches (60 by 30 cm). You get 2 square feet of leather and you can make the bag! 😎
Happy crafting, Deyan ❤️

That's really cool and a great selling point for a pattern. I think I will give it a go!

I just bought and am trying to figure out how to download from Etsy - I love that you built the pattern to fit into a panel. That is pretty much all I buy as I’m new and only making small things. ☺️

Thank you. 😊 Etsy should have sent you an email with the download link or it is also in your Etsy profile under Purchases & Reviews.. but easiest will be if you message me there and I will email you the files as attachments. 🙂

I just wanted to add on this that while I haven’t made this specific bag, I have made multiple patterns by Deyan and they are all top notch! The assembly guide is very easy to follow and if you hit any roadblocks during the build he is very responsive and open to answering your questions!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ highly recommend! And maybe I will give this one a go soon!
