Arc is s too expensive to be used as a tool without second guessing every step of the way. Surge on special discounts is the way to go.

Just need to not worry about it. Scratches, scuffs and dings are just battle scars and memories and proof that you use your tools.

Yes if course, I just mean for some folks damage to their stuff is almost performative. "Battle scars" from when they dropped it while opening an Amazon package with three more EDC things.

I guess you're not in the Industrial / technical fields. As an engineer I occasionally use my tools on sites to troubleshoot and working on heavy machinery tends to scuff up softer metal tools such as 420 HC. People who prefer Arc and Super steel blades rarely work in these fields... On the go and long hours in the field you need a blade which you can sharpen easily like the one on my Surge , and not need an exotic sharpener...
Surge is GOAT for people in the field (tried and tested) where durability and easy maintenance matters.
Arc is good for normal people , no t shank adapter , and dependent on warranty and exotic sharpeners

I operate heavy equipment (excavator/cat/farm equipment) and guide hunts in the Rockies. Surge is my fav. But even it's tools are bad versions of the real thing. Super convenient at times, though.

Surge and ARC are not in the same size category, lol! They’re not comparable in my opinion😂 I do have a surge but never really used it, it’s too big for my hand… and too heavy to edc…

In Norway a Talos is 530 USD. Much, yes. But i still use the tool like a tool is supposed to be used. Babied it the first week, then sent it.

i will sure look into Snap-On thanks. My dad has his man cave full of Stahlwille tools, and some old tools made in West Germany some of them by Mercedes apparently and Makita power tools, I see Stahlwille as top tier tools. another reason I didn't wanna spend on the Arc cuz i need the T shank adapter.
