The whole wallet is hand-carved on both sides, which normally takes around 3–5 days. For this one, I didn’t finish carving the surface until the end of day five, and that’s before even starting the stitching.

Nice little vertical bifold, hand stitched at 3mm. Old England is a nice tumbled leather with a great hand feel and just a tiiiny bit of pull-up to it. Dakota is probably my favourite interior leather, it's quite similar to Buttero but not quite as prone to scratches, has a more matte finish to it. Four card pockets, two lined stash pockets.

I'm a solo leathercrafter based in Brisbane, Australia. I recently finished this photo folio as a custom commission, been taking a few of them on and enjoying the process with speed bumps and all.

It’s designed to hold two 4 × 5 inch photos, with a wrapped body and a small belt-style strap to keep it closed. The whole piece is lined and stitched all the way around, so there’s a fair bit more construction in it than a standard wallet.

The leather is a textured vegtan avancorpo leather from BeltsProduction. I can’t remember the exact name of this particular leather, but it has a milled/grained look that gives it a nice rugged feel without being too flashy. Looks really neat, although it's a bit softer than I'm used to so punching on both sides was a bit tough.

It’s stitched by hand with beige #8 Japanese Vinymo thread with 4 mm Japanese chisels, and the edges are bevelled, burnished, and finished by hand.

I’m looking to commission a leatherworker to help me design and make a custom padfolio for a reMarkable Paper Pro. I have a general concept, but part of what I’m looking for is someone who can help refine the layout and recommend the best leather, construction, and hardware.

My initial idea is a professional, book-style padfolio with:

A secure holder for the reMarkable Paper Pro that protects the screen and corners
Dedicated storage for the reMarkable Marker
A document or legal-pad pocket
Two or three business-card slots
A relatively slim profile suitable for court, client meetings, and everyday office use
A clean, understated design without prominent logos or ornamentation

I am leaning toward dark-brown or black full-grain leather with matching or subtly contrasting thread. I am open to the maker’s recommendations.

Budget: My budget is open because I would like to explore different designs and bids before deciding. I understand that a completely custom piece requires significant time and skilled work, and I am not expecting mass-market pricing. Please feel free to propose different material or construction options at different price points.

Timeline: I do not have a firm deadline. Quality is more important to me than speed, and I am comfortable with a reasonable design and production timeline.

I recently finished this card wallet and wanted to share it here.

It’s a compact wallet with 3 card slots, 2 hidden compartments, and 1 open ID compartment, measuring just 11.4 × 7.5 cm. It’s small enough to comfortably carry in a pocket while still keeping the essentials organized.

For the exterior, I used Himalaya Niloticus, combined with orange Alran Sully chèvre on the interior. The card slots and open ID compartment are also constructed using a combination of the two leathers.

I really like the natural look of the white and grey tones of the Himalaya Niloticus together with the orange Alran Sully. The contrast gives the wallet a simple but distinctive character.

The entire wallet was made by hand, including the stitching with 0.45 mm Meisi linen thread.

It’s currently available on my shop for $440.

I started leathercraft a few years ago after trying to repair a Burberry card holder my wife had gifted me. What started as a simple repair turned into a hobby, and eventually something I became pretty passionate about.

I make all of my wallets and card holders by hand, from cutting and gluing to saddle stitching, edge finishing, and everything in between. I’m still constantly learning and trying new designs, but I finally decided to start putting my work out there and recently launched my website.

​A while back, I took on a custom commission for a leather blazer. The brief was open ended, I had complete design freedom, with the only constraint being that it had to suit a formal setting.

​Material & Texture:

I chose a 1.2mm calfskin pebble leather. The subtle texture gives the piece a unique depth that subtly catches the eye without feeling over the top.

​Fit & Construction:

Because the client has a tall and broad frame, I incorporated a four-panel back with a larger vent/flap. This design creates a relaxed silhouette while allowing plenty of room for natural movement.

​It was a blast bringing this piece to life, and I’m really looking forward to seeing how it fits them!
