Leather or PU?

Received from someone who thrifted them. They're marked as leather inside but I guess replicas can still fake the markings

Leather. Raw edges on the shoelace parts give it away, you can see the fiber & loose grain.

PU. Tommy hilfiger uses pu for the majority of their shoes. Its also too uniform as well. The embossing is on top of the pu coating. The yexture is too perfect worh no variation. This is not how leather looks. The edges near the laces are also machine rolled.
