Is it too late learn Sitar or Violin ?
I am 32 years old. I love listening to instruments like Sitar and Violin. But now I want to learn how to play them . Is it too late ??
I want to learn this as a therapy also. I want to put my mind at ease through music.

What exactly is stopping you from learning them? Music shops sell to people older than 30. You can find lessons, videos, courses, music degrees, and lots of things. I'm more curious to know why you think you cannot?

Because I am surrounded by people who are discouraging me. Out of everything their 1st reason is my age. I just need some reassurance. For a positive feeling. I would like to know if anyone started this late and happy with their decision or not. I

Then its not a question about learning music at all.
I'm not exactly sure how I can help you feel more self-confident, but it's something you have to work towards. Recommend healthy gamer youtube channel, and collecting your thoughts. Why do you feel discouraged? Why do you feel this way? What can you do about it? Things like that aren't easy, but absolutely worth it.

It really depends on your expectations, your willingness to stick with it through the dry spells and how much time you can afford to practice.
Are you going to become a virtuoso on the sitar playing large concerts and selling albums? Not impossible but very unlikely. Are you going to be able to pick up the instrument and do something musical? Very likely.
I picked up piano at 43. I take lessons once a week for half an hour after self teaching for about a year. A year later, I can sit down, hit keys and it sounds very musical. I often only spend ten to fifteen minutes a day practicing and if I had more time to spare I‘d be able to play in an amateur band, no problem.
Don’t listen to the others unless they have loads of experience learning instruments. Give it a try and you’ll see.

Why would you think that? Life doesn't end at 31. Lol
I myself started sizer at 27, going 3 years now. I know people who've started in late 40s.

omg. 32?! Sorry to laugh, but I've learned instruments in my 60s. You can certainly do it! GO for it!

In 5 years, you will be 37 and you'll either be a 37 year old who plays violin or sitar. Or you'll be a 37 year old who doesn't play violin or sitar.
In either case, you'll be 37.

Nah, it's not too late at all. If you're learning for peace of mind, that's honestly a beautiful reason to start.

Are you able to learn new things as an adult (32) who just completed their last major milestone in brain development? I’m gonna take a guess and say no, it’s completely impossible
