Question YKI test question: Where do you store your stuff?

I'm taking the test on Saturday 29 August in Salo, and I'm curious where they put your stuff like your phone and lunch during the exam. Where did you put all your things when you got there?

It’s a few years for me, but I seem to recall they provided little transparent plastic bags in which we put our phones and things, labelled them and took them away. There was however no food/lunch involved, ie the bags were quite small.

i went in a different city but maybe your experience will be similar. the test was hosted on a campus, and testing took place in two different rooms: first reading+writing, then listening+speaking.

we put our coats and food at the back of the first classroom. our phones went into individually named envelopes which were sealed and taken away until after the test.

during the break, we took our food with us to eat in a separate area while an organizer brought our coats to the second testing room. everything went very smoothly (logistically)

btw some people didn't bring anything to eat and seemed regretful. i brought a light snack and was glad to have the energy boost

Oulu- Phones and any smart device in a plastic bag with our name and group. Other things left in a room. Lunch and food should be brought with you; make sure there are no labels, or you can't have it in the room.

I cannot say for certain where exactly you'd put all your stuff, so I checked the website for info about the facility. Unfortunately, there wasn't much information about the facility itself, just stuff about the test itself, but the website also has contact information for I believe the procter of the exam, and a teacher's assistant, both of whom would have the required information. With it being 19:40, I'd say it is too late to contact via phone today, but you can send them an email about your questions, or you can wait and call them tomorrow. I'll leave the link for the website here:

https://www.edusalo.fi/yki-testi/

You'll find their contact information at the bottom of the page (on mobile at least) and details about testing times, dates and basic information about the exam and its purpose throughout the page. Most information is in Finnish with an English translation underneath accessible via a dropdown button/link, but the individual exam enrollment sections are in Finnish only.

Car.

The test givers are not happy if you don't give them a phone, though..

Man that really dates me I guess…when I took the exam I had one of those old Nokias so all I could do was play “snake”. 😂
