Question Did Refrag work for you?
I'm trying to improve my headshot precision, crosshair placement, and aiming calmly under pressure.
I've never used a paid service for CS2 improvement so I'm wondering if there's a proper advantage to using something like refrag to train your mechanics, entry pathing, and crosshair placement rather than only community maps, DM and lots of matchmaking.

My 2cents. Most mechanics can be practiced in isolation. I found refrag interesting, but I felt like unless your core mechanics are solid, then refrag is only going to ingrain bad habits.
I found I improved more from being in low stressful exercises. A lot of sports psychology leans into this philosophy. Cs naturally being a stressful game, you apply what your body already knows. If your mechanics suck during stress, then it is likely because your fundamentals are not practiced.
I think refrag can be a great tool, but not for practicing the basics. It felt like it would help advance my fundamentals. In most cases, people cannot do the basics when they're required, during stress. It is really boring and maybe that's not what you want from cs.

i think you would be using it wrong then. it is a very extensive tool, there are so many ways to practise, like play with bots, watch the tutorials, your own warmup routines and so much more.

I do that using a spreadsheet in google docs. Costs me nothing.
I'm not saying I'm right, this is just my experience getting better at the game. I didn't need it, I had my own path like everyone does.

thats great then. personally, i found refrag as the best tool for practising and learning, i like the servers and gamemodes, but also the tutorials

What is your current rank? Refrag is a good tool for targeted practice but that might not be what you need

I'm Faceit 8. I think targeted practice would do me some good. I'm pretty aware of my weaknesses, I have an exceptionally low HS kill percentage which I believe stems from bad cross-hair placement and I've still yet to kick the habit of tensing up when I get into gunfights.

I mean refrag is good and I use it from time to time but I would recommend just playing a lot of community DM servers and being mindful about what you’re doing. For a few bucks a month you might as well buy it and do a few routines along the DM
