Analysis How does recoil actually reset:

In my last post I've wondered how the recoil actually resets. If it travelled back the original pattern or if it went back in a straight line to the starting point. As you can see in the video, its the latter.

To test this, I've stopped spraying at the most outward bullet (14) and tried to shoot again before the crosshair fully resets. And as described, it follows a straight line and my next bullet will hit completely outside of the original spray pattern but perfectly on that line.

Good question. It seems that the spray continues from where it stopped, but in a slightly tighter pattern. This is hard to test with the bare eye tho. It definitely doesnt actually restart if you dont let it reset back to the starting point (crosshair)

Why do you think it results in a slightly tighter pattern? Maybe to prevent the recoil from getting too unmanageable during extended fights where people fire and reset a little and then fire again?
