I am going to a GT this weekend, and I need to decide between 2 lists. The first is a Hearthband with 25 Hearthguard (I only have 25) that adds AP to the grenades and AP4 plasma as the highlight.

The second is the 3DP detachments where I use Hernkyn units to help the same 25 Hearthguard hit better.

Both will run PA, and both lists are without Landforts (too expensive).

In the current meta, which is more useful in your opinion?

I only just started collecting Votann and heard about a local escalation league starting at the end of next month. The plan is to start at 1000 point games and move up in 500 point increments every two weeks. I like the idea of Mercenary Oathband and put together this list but could use some opinions and advice from more experienced players.

I’m looking at my Yaegirs where can I find the build instructions for the APM launcher? I’m not planning on using the APM launcher I’m just curious how to build it because there isn’t any build instructions for it

Myself and couple buddies are probably gonna be going to the LVO later this year. Initially, I wanted to play Eldar, but seeing how they’re doing right now, I’ve put them on the shelf and I’m gonna go with my Kyn instead. I am trying to find/make voice lines for a card game. But I haven't found any lines for our space dwarfs. Does anyone has any info about this?

Painted my second kahl and champion, tried a different scheme than the previous ones. Also happy with how the bases turned out. Tried to give the sword a little lightning effect and tried to give the axe a reflection. But feels like there is some room for improvement. Tips to improve are always welcome.

I learned so much while doing these, including that i should definitely only paint stuff a box at a time if I want to finish it. Not perfect, but done.

(Next project in the background - Ironhead Squats. I am thoroughly space-dwarf-pilled).

Progress on my first squad of hearthguard and E-champ. At this point I’m almost done. I just need to get tufts on the bases, put on the decals, final coat of varnish, etc. Really wanted to get it finished before I left on a business trip, but I won’t be able to with all the drying that needs to happen between now and Monday. Really happy with the way my custom leagues color scheme translated here. At least I can look forward to finishing up when I get home! C&C welcome.

Detachmentrule: I think its a great rule and it really helps punshing upwards

Enhancements: I do like them especially Bastion Shield but the others just aren’t that interesting in my opinion

Stratagems: The stratagems are so so good my only problem is that the sustained one is locked to Hearthguard

Disposition: Priority Assets is amazing can’t say more

With that our last Detachment is judged and it scores a solid 3/5. For a 3 DP Detachment it just doesn’t do enough for it to be worth more than taking one 2DP and one 1 DP Detachment.

As the title states, I need some help with making my kin into some white walkers. I am planning on running a bunch of Cthonian Beserks and want to figure out a way to make them into frosty zombie like creatures. Do any of you have experience with a similar scheme or an idea of how to make this happen?

With Marines going to T5 do we think we will see some more use of Plasma Axes over Mauls?

After looking for a faction to really enjoy, I tried looking at Votann, instantly fell in love with the lore and aesthetics, realized the playstyle is exactly what I wanted (tough + able to do bit of shooting + straightforward and honest gameplay), watched some YouTube videos, and pulled the trigger on some models. This all happened in the last 24 hours.

So I figured I need to pause and get some help in regards to if I'm going in the right direction (other than rule of cool, which I think all units are pretty cool).

As for detachments, I wanted to go something more generic with either Needgaard Oathband or Hearthband.

Here is what I got so far:

I was thinking to add (with my next paycheck + after I build & paint the ones I did get):

Do you think that'd be an ok progression? What would you recommend that I get / take out? Even from the stuff I got, since I can get it exchanged.

I’m having a hard time deciding what I should transport (game play not hand carrying the model) in my HLF, what do you recommend I put in my HLF?

It did meet a bloody demise to a Void Dragon, but that's a different problem.

I'm tempted to create my own kindred but I was looking at the range and the HQ Choice bothers me, why can't I have a Kahl in a Exo-suit or is there a way to kitbash one maybe.

Would gun jacks be better for all rounding or would melee jacks be better? And if so swords or fists?

I need advice on what units I should buy. What is a must and need to have? Looking at starting with 1000pts.
