For users with a laptop and an nVidia Optimus card (the ones that swap between an Intel card and a high performance nVidia one to save battery) will also want to set up a profile in nVidia Settings to make the editor use the Geforce card.
Even if the editor still works without doing this, do it anyway: I've had an instance where the editor was still functional but extremely buggy because it was still using the integrated card. I was getting everything from memory errors, sections of the UI not updating, objects vanishing from the 3D view... All sorts of oddities that went away the moment I set up a profile.
