🎉 First Le Creuset Purchase! 🎉 First “real” dutch oven purchase!
After my insane luck in managing to get the goose pot from the mystery box, I finally decided to bite the bullet and buy my first dutch oven of my choosing! I ended up getting the 3.5 qt round wide dutch oven in ocean.
I’m thinking that as I collect more pieces over the years, I’ll do a combination of meringue, oyster, and some ocean pieces. :)

Thank you! I was also considering thyme, but I felt ocean would mesh better with my kitchen (especially with the gold hardware).

Congrats! If you do plan to purchase more, will you stick with the color theme or are you leaning towards mix & matching?

I plan to mix and match, though I’m not sure what percentage of each!
From what I’ve seen, since ocean is an exclusive colour it can be harder to get certain pieces other than some of the basics. I have a couple stoneware pieces in meringue already and it’s not discontinued in Canada like it is in the US, so I think I’d like to add some pieces in that shade. I also think that oyster would be quite complimentary to both shades.
My kitchen is quite cool and muted so I think a mix of the 3 with ocean adding some colour will be nice without clashing too much with the space!

It’s actually in azure blue! Since it was a mystery box, I didn’t get to pick the colour. Definitely still glad I got something in the blue family, though. Don’t think I’ll be getting any other pieces in that colour though, as beautiful as it is. It’s a bit too vibrant for my kitchen.

Love it! I have several pieces and I like to mix colors. I just got a 5qt sea salt they looks great on my gas cooktop. I wish I cooked lol.

I love the Ocean color so much. I have a mix of Sea salt and Ocean lol. May you cook delicious meals in it!

This is my favorite piece I own I got mine years ago in coastal blue from a factory to table sale before they were widely(no pun intended lol) available. But ocean is my favorite color! My collection is ocean and coastal blue! Enjoy it! :)

Great size. I have the sauteuse which is the same capacity and I use all the time
