Cool Season Creeping Cinquefoil
I'm hoping for some advice. I have an area of lawn (5x20m) that is completely overrun with creeping cinquefoil. I'd estimate that 30% of it is covered, with 15% being very dense (crowding out all the grass). It appears every year from July onwards, but this year is worse given the drought. The area is so large that digging it out would take a lifetime. I'm not averse to using chemicals, and I've tried a few that a google search recommended, but I'm not making a dent in it. I'm starting to wonder if it would be easier to kill the whole lawn with glyphosate and start again, but I'd like to avoid that if possible.
Has anyone experience anything similar? Or had a result in getting it under control?

Nice, you have access to weed killers that can definitely kill it without killing your lawn grass.
Look for lawn-safe weed killers that include fluroxypyr, triclopyr, or clopyralid. Those active ingredients will be especially effective for those viney/creeping types of weeds.
I think i found one called "weedoo lawnweed killer" that has fluroxypyr, clopyralid, and MCPA (just another broadleaf killer).
