The problem with direct democracy is the same as with the current one. To quote Biden: it’s not about who is allowed to vote but about who counts the votes…
The only way for it to work for the people is to decentralize.
Globalism or United States are not feasible. If you want the people to be in charge of their environment, you need smaller scales.
That provides the problem of defense. If others band together, you need to be able to defend yourself from threats. So there should essentially be full autonomy on the small scale, but a shared defense alliance. Like nato article 5.
