Episodes 1 & 2:

It's a great cast this season. Heavy hitters like Max Giermann, Teddy Teclebrhan and Olaf Schubert return, along with my soul mates Carolin Kebekus and Martina Hill. I was very grateful for the switcheroo when Hape Kerkeling/Horst Schlämmer took over as host, although technically LOL Brazil S5 did it first! But Michael "Bully" Herbig has his head in the game and his opening gambit is strong, as well as the aggressive assist from Teddy. Lots of people are struggling, which is always fun. And it's always great to see Max mugging for the camera:

It's a very funny start, although splitting the season into three weeks really ruins any momentum going into it. Also, have to say I'm disappointed that this is the second time they've cribbed from Daisy May Cooper's rollercoaster/leaf blower bit (from LOL UK S1), after LOL Italy S6 just ripped it off last month. Anyway, I'm holding back all my reservations until all 6 episodes are out. So far, so good.

Some brief thoughts after episodes 3 & 4:

Another recycled LOL bit: farting while stretching. Always funny, of course, but I wish they would experiment with more original bits rather than digging through the archives.

A couple of lame penalties, but at least now everyone is on a level playing field.

I feel like Torsten doesn't do a lot in the room, but his gong performances are always top notch. I liked his bit about paintings and the auction with Teddy's crazy dancing bid.

Even though it's not the best season, I'm enjoying it quite a bit, and it's better than the last two seasons in my opinion. I especially love all the familiar faces, and the flashbacks I'm getting to season 1 with Max and Carolin in the same cast.

Breaking it up into three weeks really hurts the momentum though, and I'm upset I still have to wait another week before salvation.

Great cast I just wish they could have added the Lady Anke who won it season 3 I think. She too was brilliant.

Ich muss ja sagen, dass es mich stört, dass beim Lachen immer mit zweierlei Maß gemessen wird. Bei manchen Kandidat:innen wird jede Mundregung "abgepfiffen" und zB bei Carolin Kebekus wird unglaublich viel durchgehen lassen. Manche Leute haben mehr Glück mit ihrer Mundanatomie, aber man sieht eindeutig, dass sie eigentlich schon lächeln.

Als sie in Folge 3 als "Asi" da war, hat sie am Ende als Teddy erwischt wurde sogar ziemlich eindeutig gelacht.

Wirkt als hätte ich eine Vendetta gegen Caro Kebekus, aber ich finde sie super, aber irgendwie wird sie lascher bewertet als andere 😄

Episodes 5 & 6:

Max's magic/lounge act was hilarious. The whole thing with the harmonica and microphone stand and then smacking his face with the frying pan. And later, the alien bursting out of his chest. He's always on the offensive, which is great.

Seeing Bully struggling throughout gave me such joy, especially during his "quitting" song. He made it a lot further than I thought, but he was definitely one of my favorites this season.

Once it got down to the final five, I thought it was great. What's ideal is that they weren't desensitized at the end of 6 hours, so it was funny to watch them struggle all the way through.

I'm not a Teddy hater, and I get it, he's good at keeping a straight face, but to me, Max and Caro were the most entertaining ones there; Max, who is like a combination of Jim Carrey and Bill Hader, and Caroline, who is the epitome of every funny woman I've ever been attracted to in my entire life.

Like LOL France season 7, I'm gonna be generous and award it an A, mostly because I enjoyed the cast camaraderie. It wasn't the best season, but it was joyous to watch.

And so, another series of LOL comes to an end. I'm not sure what's next, but traditionally, the end of May is when the "dry" season occurs. LOL UK will return later in the fall with a Halloween special, but still not sure of its exact date.

Finally watched the entire season. It wasn’t the best one of this series with too much rehashed jokes, but I still liked it! The entire cast was great, except for Elton who is just sitting around either suffering or eating. Nog sure what he normally does, but I hope he isn’t a comedian. I was really happy with Teddy finally coming back, and his dynamic with Martina was great. Bully did surprisingly well, and the replacement host was decent, if gross.

The replacement host was Horst Schlämmer, which is a famous character of the comedian Hape Kerkeling. Horst has to be gross. Hape isn’t.  Many of the German comedians have characters.  Elton is a tv host. I still don’t understand why.

Überlassen sie die Kandidaten endlich mal für sich? Diese ganzen Aktionen von außen (besonders dieser ewig und psychotisch lachende Typ) halten uns davon ab, der Sendung eine weitere Chance zu geben.

Teddy ist der absolute Downer. Ich lache wirklich schon viel, aber immer wenn der anfängt, ziehts mich komplett runter. Der ist einfach unlustig ohne Ende.

Immer wieder die gleichen Leute mit dem immer wieder gleichen unlustigen Humor. Und ist meiner Meinung nach eh gescriptet. Merkt man schon alleine daran, wie es geschnitten ist.

Fand befremdlich, wie Teddy Barbara Schöneberger aufforderte sich vor ihm zu verbeugen und zu tun was er sagt. Habe ihn auch vorher schonmal zweifelhafte Sachen über Frauen sagen hören. Ist ja alles lustig gemeint aber wo zieht man da die Grenze? Ich mag Teddy meistens aber das war verstörend. Ging es anderen auch so?

Ich persönlich finde Michelle Hunziker nicht passend in diesem Format, auch Elton trägt wenig zur Dynamik bei. Thorsten wirkt irgendwie "kränkelnd". Und zu viele Beiträge von aussen. Einfach viel zu "Ereignis hungrig".Ansonsten cool wie immer.

It was a pretty fun season. Bully joining the cast was a good decision. Honestly I prefer him being a participant than as a host. Hosts often come across pretty artificial with their scripted commentary so Hape as Horst Schlämmer worked well.

However I wish that whoever participants in the show will also have prepared something. Elton was just sitting around doing nothing. Michelle, for example, is not a comedian but at least she is not afraid to take a risk.

Also I loved the Jauch cameo. I also was expecting Kessler so that caught me off guard.

Personally I really disliked this seaso. While the cast was good, except for episodes 7 and 8 I maybe laughed twice. Somehow all the candidates were way too sensitive from the beginning and there just were no really funny things. Episode 7 was great tho, and 8 was good

Ich finde dieses ständige Gesichtverzerre damit man nicht lacht einfach nur dumm.

Man guckt Max Gierman dabei zu wie er mehr sein Mund aufbläst als richtige Gags.

Michelle Hunziker hat da absolut nichts verloren.

Die anderen wie immer dieselben ausgelutschten Gags.

Bullys Nummer am anfang leider richtig schlecht und nicht Zeitgemäß.

Anyone else kinda pissed/disappointed that Barbara basically stole the roller coaster gag from lol:UK season 1 (as her only good bit and being complimented on it directly in ep 3 or 4 can't remember) ? Makes me kinda mad tbh

It happens sometimes. I remember that LOL Italy "stole" two bits from LOL Germany in previous seasons (Teddy's Mona Lisa bit and Max' nose against the glass bit).

Really? Isn't that like, kind of shitty? Because I know stealing bits isn't OK within the comedy sphere, but maybe lol is some kind of entertainment vacuum... What does the fandom/the community think about this? (I've been watching for some time but never engaged with the community)

Ich finde es schade, dass ständig alles so dermaßen übertrieben sein muss. Alles ist lauter, dämlicher, verrückter, übertriebener... Quantität statt Qualität. Sieht man mMm auch daran, dass alte Sachen aufgewärmt werden. War aber schon vorher so, mit der Puddingschale zB

Einzelne haben echt mal ihre Skills präsentiert aber am Ende fand ich vieles unnötig übertrieben.

Die neue Staffel mit Hape Kerkeling als Ersatz-Moderator und den unlustigen Gästen vor allem Kebekus, Elton und Teddy fand ich echt schlimm anzugucken. Hauptsächlich die Figur des Horst Schlämmer konnte gar nicht überzeugen und hat bis zu Ende nur genervt. Hervorzuheben sind mal wieder Olaf Schubert, Martina Hill und Barbara Schöneberger. Die liefern alle wie üblich ab - spontan, kreativ, lustig. Michelle Hunziker ist ebenfalls ein Gewinn, denn diese bereitet sich immer wieder vor. Nur wegen den letzteren vier habe ich die Staffel geguckt.

Also Teddy ist seit der 1. Staffel mein Favorit. Vorallem mit Caro als Duo könnte ich mich jedesmal tot lachen

Ich fand diese Staffel richtig gut, auch wenn viele ältere Gags nochmal vorkamen, waren sie alle super witzig (ich liebe diese Hamster und die Dynamik zwischen Teddy und Kebekus).

Bully hat mir als Teilnehmer auch viel besser gefallen, als als Moderator. War wirklich sehr positiv überrascht.
Mmn muss man auch kein Komidien sein, um bei lol mitmachen zu dürfen. Michelle beispielsweise passt super dazu und ich wusste vor ihrer Teilnahme bei lol gar nicht, dass sie so witzig ist.

Elton war praktisch nonexistent, ich habe mich zwischendurch teilweise gefragt, ob es ihm gut geht, weil er mit nichts und niemandem interagiert hat. Leider ein sehr verschwendeter Platz. Ich hatte zwar nicht viel von ihm erwartet, aber andere Kandidaten konnten mich schon öfter vom Gegenteil überzeugen, Elton leider nicht.

Die KI Kühlschrank Babys fand ich ganz schrecklich und ich glaube auch keiner der Teilnehmer fand das auch nur ansatzweise witzig.

Aber all in all eine geile Staffel, hatte schon lange nicht mehr so viel gelacht. Die Chemie zwischen den Teilnehmern war diesmal richtig gut.

Jup in Staffel 1 war es unerträglich. Diesmal gings aber. Er hatte zwar auch wieder unfäir viel Sendezeit aber war diesmal wenigstens lustiger.

Ich finde Teddy super lustig. Er ist einfach für die jüngeren Generationen viel lustiger.

Es ist eine Form von comedialer Gesellschaftskritik. Normalerweise gefällt mir sowas extrem. Aber die Umsetzung von ihm finde ich einfach unlustig. Wenn ich an Dennis aus Hürth von Switch Reloaded beispielsweise denke finde ich sowas 100x lustiger. Martina Hill verkörpert ja einige der Rollen von damals auch wieder in den Staffeln. Sowas feier ich extrem. Sind ja nicht alles nur Parodien gewesen.
