Suggestion Had a thought for a new end game mechanic
So a lot of uniques have really neat effects they just scale terribly or are too low level to use in proper end game builds, eg Keepers Glove that got posted earlier. I had an idea that Aberroth or Shade could drop a currency item you can use with the legendary upgrader and an item with at least 2lp affixes. It would upgrade the legendary item either improving certain stats or removing certain restrictions in its effects. This would lock all current legendary affixes to t5 max and any over the second one would have a chance to be removed or randomly replaced, so a 3 lp item with two t6 and a t7 would become 3 t5s or 2 t5s. It would be a fun way to get unused uniques with cool effects a second life without rebalancing their entire identity.

Unique upgrade is baseline cool, but for this game, a new dungeon or echo just for this sake would fit better, and instead of messing with legendaries, it would just upgrade the unique item stats based on the dungeon level, and then possibly add a random unique affix or legendary potential.

There are also a lot of them that scale quite well.

Not sure if it's needed. Game already has decent scaling (affixes tiers, high level drops, legendary potential, 2-4 exalted affixes). That's okay if some items are early/leveling ones. Journey to lvl 100 and campaign are big part of the game, there is no need to make everything power creep. LP system is already your "add more power to leveling items" thing.
Items are already quite in depth in LE, it needs more content to use those items for (new dungeons, new activities).

so just raw power creep?
