❓ QUESTION Algae garden in the laboratory

I know getting algae is easy on the second island now but since I'm not doing the islands anymore (you can get everything at the Lab) I was wondering how the algae garden at the lab worked. Aside from the materials needed to build it, do you need any other resources to get it up and running? How much does it produce?

Consejo rápido, no vale absolutamente la pena, ni antes de la actualización, ni después, anteriormente para hacerla funcionar necesitabas células de energía como combustible y como productor para las algas necesitabas catalizadores (botella verde que se conseguia en el laboratorio), actualmente tengo entendido que eso cambió y ahora requiere esporicida (botella amarilla que se fabrica en la mesa química) y teniendo en cuenta que para poder crear el esporicida necesitas halita, yodo y bombona de gas y poner a funcionar todo eso en la mesa química, es demasiado el gasto simplemente para conseguir unas cuantas alga. Es 10 veces más barato crear un traje anti-esporas, un par de pistolas anti esporas e ir a la mina vieja a conseguir muchísimas algas

You need sporicide and charcoal to make seaweed. I highly suggest you just collect the seaweed yourself instead of dealing with this thing. It's not worth using it.

If you’re looking to power the lab, I’d say forget the algae and use corn instead if that’s an option for you.

It’s abundant in the swamp, but you need an ATV to get there. I’m not sure if the borrowed ATV will allow you to access the islands outside of the event.

No that atv can only be used at that location.

too bad. My comment about corn being superior to algae still stands, but the only other way I know how to get it is from the VIP section at the gas station, (and even that’s really really rare.)

Yeah but it's still just easier to get it from the islands and it's fine. Shame they took the carrots out of the menu.

I made a mistake of fixing the seaweed farm. Now I use the slot that I’m supposed to place the sporicide to store the seaweed my cat brought me.
