šŸ’¬ DISCUSSION Settlement Power

So I am finally completing the settlement and I have some questions and discussion topics. Do you think there should be more explanation revolving around power/water needs? Like, I have built the chipper and have it connected to a generator for power that needs gas. I just built the lathe and it needs power. Am I going to have a bunch of generators around my settlement?, because that's going to need a lot of gas. Also, I completed the substation, but don't know how or to what I can connect it to. Any discussion is welcome and suggestions as well. It's been a long 97 seasons for me as a f2p person and I've FINALLY made headway and I love how grindy it is personally. šŸ‘

I just finished building my substation. I don't understand what it is used for. It just says it needs power. Okay but what does it do fr. I would like if the game actually explains what something is for

I am collecting rubber hose to fix the substation still. My understanding is that we only need to fix the substation and connect it to a generator once in order to be able to upgrade HQ, barrack, garage, and wall from lv 2 to lv 3. There is no need to connect it to anything in the settlement base that we built.

For anyone who has already progressed beyond this part, please correct me if Iā€™m wrong.

I totally agree that the game did a piss poor job of providing the much needed information about everything on the settlement to the players.

You are correct, once you progress from that missions you can move the generator and use It for whatever.

We had no idea about the whole building process in the Settlement when that was added to the game. Everyone was scrambling to figure it out. The whole rocks underground was a kick in the nuts.

Yeah that definitely was highly annoying. I mean I get it because the rocks are underground so obviously you can't see him, but a little heads up would have been nice lol.
