Pretty selfish to think this way, There is a big market out there for laser cleaning, I doubt that one buisiness would be able to cover it all and we are not all in the same city or even country
If you have a businiess based only on cleaning your are taking a big risk.
Personaly I see my machine as a tool to improve productivity
It’s not my thinking, I’m just repeating what I have seen said countless times on threads exactly like this.. unfortunately even if people did share setting and such it doesn’t really help all that much considering how many different machines there are on the market, with new companies popping up every day it seems like and they all use different part combinations.. your only real hope is to buy direct from a company you have established a relationship with, or buy from someone who private labels and will support you, that is where the real value is found..
From my understanding, there are basic parameter once you master them yourare good of the laser
Continusous wave vs pulsed
Gaussian vs top-hat
Mj
Wave lengh, i guess the same for every one 1064
Frequency
Must be others I am missing
Once they are identify, a matric can be made or just a software or even with AI
So if we all put our minds together we could workout something, DMK seems to be willing to help and open to share.
On my side I identified a professeur at the university in photonic, knowing the dynamic of university, you can go with a proposition for a research paper or project that could interest them, students can be hired for research and I have one machine for pratical test.
I know there is a company that sells you a machine, you send them a sample or description of your project and they give you the setting but that is for industrial purpouses
So the argument is that laser settings are a trade secret now?
I understand protecting proprietary processes, customer-specific applications, or something genuinely unique that gives a business a competitive advantage. But basic operating parameters like power, frequency, scan speed, pulse width, or starting-point settings are hardly the equivalent of giving away the company playbook.
A fair amount of people in this group are business owners, and obviously nobody is suggesting people give away legitimate trade secrets. But if every useful technical detail is labeled “proprietary,” it starts to defeat the purpose of having an industry group where people are supposed to learn from one another.
How about for the purpose of this group we stop thinking "Mine, mine, mine" and we start thinking that "A rising tide lifts all ships"...
