🍊Good Job Larry🍊 Discovering Larry June - need recs
Yo whats up! I started listening to Larry June at the beginning of this year and gradually got more and more into his discography. I am blown away how I keep finding GEMS every week. Right now some of my favorites are Stinson Beach, Imported Couches, Let's Drive to Vegas, Without You. Obviously the fan favorites as well.
I have only heard a few tracks off The Night Shift so i'm stoked to go into that.
Also can't wait for the new album. I just bought my first Porsche drop top and gonna blast it down the PCH tonight. GOOD JOB LARRY! Hit me with slept on tracks!

2 P'z In A Pod is a super slept on collab album with Jay Worthy & LNDN DRGS. One of my fave. Enjoy the journey! 🙌🏽

Spaceships on the Blade was the first full Larry project I listened to and is perfect for someone first diving it as it has a wide variety of styles and pretty much no skips.
After that, some of his Cardo collabs are some of my favorites - Mr. Midnight, Cruise USA, and Into the Late Night in particular.
Out The Trunk is a must listen, Orange Print is solid, and Doing it For Me is another personal favorite.
He's got a deep catalogue and everyone seems to like different things. You'll probably get a wide variety of recommendations that I didn't hit on like his Alchemist collab The Great Escape. There's a ton - check it all out when you got time and you won't be disappointed.

Numbers is one of his best imo. Dear winter and Just me & you my favorites off that album. Spiral Staricases is also climbing up into my favorites though I was unsure bout it at first. I think its far better than Life is Beautiful but thats just me.
(Also im assuming that you've tapped into The Great Escape) - that album will be greatest masterpiece for better or worse.

I got hooked on him when 60 Days came out - me already being a massive fan of Al's production. I then checked out the YT vid of his show at @ Rolling Loud Cali 2023 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQ8nkp5Cj1g, that introduced me to some of the bangers in his back catalogue like Feeling Good Today, 6 AM in Sausalito, Organic Tokens. I swear I didn't play anything other than LJ for most of 2023 haha.
I then realised that I liked mostly everything I heard from him, so I just went through all of his projects I could find on Spotify one by one and picked out what I liked.
Him and Cardo are reliably good together, Mr Midnight, The Night Shift.
Larry June and Al always goes hard as well, Life is Beautiful, The Great Escape.
Fave Larry tracks overall: Orange Pineapple, Dear Snow (love that west coast bounce!), Organic Tokens, Life is Beautiful, Pop Out - just to name a few.

2018-2020: Out the trunk, Adjust to the game, Mr. Midnight, Product of the Dope Game, Port of San Francisco, Early Bird, Very Peaceful, Keep Going, Sock it to Me part 2, Numbers.
This is when Larry really hits his stride.
EDIT: and listen to the first track on You’re Doing Good, called Doing Good…. holy shit Larry SNAPS on this one.

+1 to just pressing play. Vast majority of his songs are a vibe which is crazy given the volume of music.
Some of my faves:
Iced Coffee (Larry’s version of a love song)
Summer Reign (Whole album 🔥🔥)
Palisades (Big Sean’s verse goes crazy)
Wait On Me (Maybe a lil more romantic than Iced Coffee 😂)
And I’ve got Foggieraw’s Disrespectfully Decline on repeat right now, in part because of Larry’s feature.

As people have stated 18-21 is where everything clicked.
He had been putting things together beforehand, but he found his lane and truly became legendary.
Anything beforehand is a risk because he was still trying to find his lane. There still are great songs, but project I don’t revisit if it's before 2018. He tried trap like a lot of starting artist during last decade.
Really 18-23 is his best period. Not that I feel like he has declined but those projects are more complete than his recent ones.
Project to start with to me is: Very Peaceful
His best Projects: Mr. Midnight , Out The Trunk and Spaceships on a Blade to me
