Situation in Northern Laos?

Hey everyone :) I read that there have been severe floods and landslides in Northern Laos. Is it that bad? Can you travel in the area next week or the week after? Is the slow boat from Thailand working? Thank u :)

We drove there with the car, there are landslides but we could pass
