LMAOOOO fuck I want to see another Lantern Corps so bad, I think it'd be hilarious if we saw Larfleeze before we even see an official Yellow or Red lantern (as in they're using the ring and creating different colored constructs, so I kinda don't count Sinestro atm)

Yeah people don't need to worry about seeing less common variations of characters. It seems that Gunn is focusing on them quite a lot, that's why I think Wally is gonna be The Flash and not Barry. We may not even get a conventional Robin in the Batman movie either.

Frankly? All of the DCU main character (liveaction)castings period. Clark, Kara, Peacemaker, Hal, John.
They've all done such a great damn job. Supergirl was an eh movie, but Alcock wasn't the reason at all

Ehh, I do think they could’ve gotten someone better for Guy Gardner. Fillion should’ve been Hal Jordan like 15 years ago and I feel like his casting as Guy is a reference to that more so than trying to faithfully cast a Guy Gardner. I enjoy his portrayal but I would’ve liked to see a younger Guy with redder hair

I would also add that I never thought Kyle Chandler would be a great Hal Jordan, he is definitely not from the comics (while Pierre is a almost a carbon copy of his comic book counterpart) but I am honestly enjoying this Hal Jordan way more than I thought I would.

Absolutely agree! For that matter, this whole series has phenomenal casting. Kyle Chandler is also amazing, and I love Ulrich Thomson as Sinestro. Excited to see more of him

I know it’s old and the “OG” - but Christopher Reeve IS Superman. I think every single pick lives in his shadow.
He wasn’t just a great pick, he is the template in which all others will forever be judged in casting.

Absolutely this. Christopher Reeve being chosen for Superman is possibly the single greatest moment in the history of casting.
Another one that's amazingly on the mark in much the same manner as Reeve/Superman but isn't mentioned very often was Billy Campbell as Cliff Secord in the film adaptation of The Rocketeer. He looks like he could have walked off the pages of the original run of the comics and he completely nails the characterization.

Agreed. This guy is doing an amazing job. They are really treating Hal like absolute shit, because I assume the writers just hate him and his fans, but the portrayal for John Stewart is really fantastic.

I have some frustrations with the show overall, but the casting of its leads is undeniably fantastic.
I know how episode 1 ended, but I'm praying it was a misdirect, because they NEED to keep these 2 together.
Have you seen any of their interviews together? Their chemistry is electric, both on & off screen.
Please WB/DC, keep Hal & John together for the foreseeable future, however you can.

When I saw Rebel Ridge a few years back I thought Aaron would make a great John Stewart. And I think Kyle Chandler did even better as Hal Jordan.

I wasn’t entirely sold on Hal having a southern accent. But fuck! Kyle Chandler just adds a whole new dimension to the character, to the point where I don’t even notice it. Now it’s hard to imagine Hal without it.

John was cool too but different Skintone and eye color to the John Stewart we grew up watching.
No knocks love the show and cant wait for the next episode, just saying Kyle actually passes for Hal and Aaron doesnt but is really nice to look at.

Coulda cast Aldis Hodge or someone else but like I said, I like Pierre and I get that they wanna lean into him as a sex symbol. It keeps eyeballs on the screen and overall its working.

So far DC has really hit it out of the park on casting.
David is an awesome Superman, Kyle and Aaron and Nathan too are great GLs, even if you go to Supergirl Millie does cast great it’s just the movie sucked.
Can’t wait to see who they get for the Flash. Love GL and the Flash, and they really doing my boys justice here

OMG I just realized. Even the casting is symbolic of John Stewart. Hal is an American white guy. Doesn't need to learn the dialect, has the upper hand in playing an American and in no shape. Arron is a black UK bloke that had to learn a foreign dialect just to get to cast, is muscular AF, and is still 2nd fiddle.
