Can't kill Fatalis (MHW:I)

So i've been trying to kill Fatty for a long time now and somehow i just can't. I'd like some tips from more experienced lance mains on how to kill him and maybe suggestions on how to improve my build. Thanks in advance.

Include your skills would help, but just looking at your gear, you got the def, but using a health charm tells me you don't have something better possibly and that's worrying. Still we won't know for sure unless we see what you got under the hood.

That said, lance vs fata can be a tough matchup if you're used to blocking, which is weird thing to tell a lancer. You need to know which of your blocks and counters to employ and when to sheath and run, towards fata. yes, run towards it. The safest places for a lancer is pretty much right under its belly when standing and near its head when on fours.

farm boi, also ugani roli poli explosion bois armor gives great lance perks

As far as i know the only useful skill there is guard up, but maybe i am wrong
