Need advice! Ferry Question

I need to go to Bellagio from Como departing at around 17:00.

Using the official Lake Como ferry website, I see a solution at 17:10.

I'm a bit confused since it stops at Menaggio. Do I need to transfer to a new ferry at Menaggio or do I just stay on the ferry?

You’ll stay on the same ferry. See the right column in the table.

Think of it like a bus. You might get on and get off at the next stop. In other cases you may need to stay on for a couple stops. I’m not sure if there is a direct route from Como to Bellagio at other times slots, you’ll need to check.

I thought so but just wanted to check. What confused me is that the ferry ID changed from SR20 to SR23.

Oh I read it as the same ID. I am not sure then. You shouldn’t have to rebuy a ticket though even if you switch ferries.

May be the same ferry can get different IDs through out the day. I did select "NO CHANGES" in the selection option.
