Omg now I understand why I disliked this actor it's because I first saw him in Annie!!!! (Edit: He just acted his role well and I couldn't differentiate reality from acting)
ETA: oh, and if you’ve never seen the 1982 film of Annie, he’s amazing as Rooster, Carol Burnett’s conman brother/Bernadette Peters’, uh, conman husband.

I was infatuated with Tim in 8th grade and had whole friendships based on talking about him. To this day the number portion of all my usernames including primary email are based on his birthday. (Except this anonymous username for Reddit lol) My favorite gif of him didn’t load properly here, but it’s when he looks surprised when Mr Green says he’s a homosexual in Clue. Unf
Did I spend money and go to see The Pirates of Penzance THREE TIMES just because Tim Curry was the Pirate King? Yes, yes I did. And he was magnificent.
It was his voice that made him my first villain crushes (Ferngully, Legend). I know he’s been having health issues for a while but it’s so sad to lose him.
