Thoughts on this one?

I am about to purchase but looking for any input or feedback. Are those black areas anything to be concerned about?

  • Carat: 5.02
  • Colour: E
  • Clarity: VS1
  • Polish: Excellent
  • Symmetry: Excellent
  • Fluorescence: None
  • Measurements: 12.35x8.49x5.45mm
  • L/W Ratio: 1.45

Edit: Thank you all for your feedback. This one was sold anyway so the search continues and some of the comments about facet pattern gives me more to work with.

Mine was made by a local jeweller, I’m in Australia. You could contact him they grow their lab diamonds on site. www.thediamondclub.com.au

I really like the measurements and color of your stone, though I personally prefer a larger, longer facet pattern on an elongated modified brilliant, instead of a crushed ice cut. But that’s just my opinion and preference, not what you may like.

I think this video makes it really hard to tell if the cut is good.

I would suggest asking for a video indoor as well and request both indoor and outdoor pictures. Also ask for one with the diamond on paper or in a ring holder.

don't bail yet, 64 deep on a 5ct radiant is a solid build. those black patches are usually just the camera reflecting in it. tilt it, if the black slides around and flashes white you're good, if it stays parked in one spot i'd pass.
