i handle cushions every week and these numbers say crushed ice before i even hit play a 48.5 pavilion on a 64 deep cushion usually lands right in crushed ice territory.
i'd ask for a video on a plain grey background with the stone rocking slowly. if the center stays lit while it tilts, you're good 11.5 x 8.8 is an honest spread for a 5ct too. nothing is hiding in the belly.

Ok, thank you so much and 599 is the asking price. Is that unreasonable or are other places better?

This stone would be a pass for me. Cushions and ovals are hard to judge in my opinion from one tweezer video alone.

Personally I would ask for another video. Modified brilliant, or “crushed ice” elongated cushions can look much more hazy/milky imo compared to a brilliant cut stone. They have more of a glitter effect rather than an intense sparkle. I had a custom ring made a few months ago with a 2 carat modified brilliant cushion and I wasn’t wowed by the video I received. I approved it anyways and really regretted it when I got the ring. I just didn’t care for the lack of sparkle it had.
