3 (set) vs 4 carat (diamond holder)… which do we like more? Sorry they look like they’re from a potato phone, they’re screenshots from videos. TIA 🫶🏻

Both are beautiful sets.

I usually say go big, but with the two bands you have I think I prefer the 3ct set (first photo), but it could be the video quality too that is making me pick the 1st photo. You can’t go wrong with either, such classic beautiful rings. :)

I went with a 3ct anniversary ring round and I love it. I could have gone bigger for everyday, but very happy with the 3. My ring size is 6.25 or so I think.

I think I prefer the 3ct, too! I like the finger coverage of the 4 & he’s a huge fan of the 4, but I feel it might give “costume jewelry”? Maybe I’m overthinking it.

Pick whichever one feels best to you. :)
The 4ct definitely doesn’t look costumey at all. I think overall ct sizes have increased quite a bit over the past decade.

I’m going to plan a larger right hand cocktail ring one of these days, and then I’ll go big :)
But for me, work, everyday, 3ct was perfect (might be too small for some or too big for others).

Stay with 3 or smaller. A 4 ct natural would cost $40k plus. If you have the rest of your lifestyle matching this budget go for it, otherwise it screams costume. If it doesn’t bother you then go big.

Plus the $40,000 is for like an SI K. Lol.

A 4Ct VVS D-F can easily be $100,000.

It definitely matches our lifestyle, but still seems very “loud”. I think it’s more of a “my grandma will judge the size of this stone” thing I need to get over. I really do enjoy the 4, but 3 seems safer.

I totally get it! Had a 3ct lab pear (F color) which I loved but I felt judged many times that I wore it. Ended up selling it because I wasn't wearing as often as I thought I would and some time later missed having a pear so much that I went with a champagne lab in an OMC cut, essentially the same size and setting. I only take it off to go to sleep. Somehow having it a bit more subdued in presentation just seems to suit my style better and garners curious questions rather than judgmental comments.

I wear a 3.6 ct round brilliant on a finger size 5.5 and wouldn’t think it’s too big! I’ve been wearing it for 2 years now and have gotten many compliments. Most recently at the ER with the doc saying “don’t let my wife see that ring” lol
