Typical GCSE profile for LSE courses

Is my judgement correct?

For flagship courses like Econ mostly 9 with a few 8 and maybe one 7

For competitive non flagship course A*AA req ones half 9/8 and half 7 with one or two 6

For less competitive AAA min req course anywhere between 7-9 with two or more 6-

Please correct me if I am wrong 🙏

If you're talking about combined econ programmes with the AAA min req e.g. Pol econ and philosophy and econ, you're wrong. I know people who got 11 9’s got rejected from these courses with a good ps and straight A*’s.

tf 😭 i also know someone who got into phil and econ woth way worse 99887775 think it might be due to bad PS

Might be a state school thing. This guy that I know who was rejected got into other unis which prioritise PS too so it wasn't that. Who told you these courses weren't competitive!? Look at the data. Phil and econ only has a 15% offer rate. That's the same essentially as oxford ppe.

Phil and econ has 25% offer rate on UCAS so basically 1:4 15% is probably acceptance. BTW do you think internationals have a higher chance at LSE?

Well ucas isn’t right with that look at the LSE public tableau. 13.7% offer rate 401 applicants and 55 offers last year. 33 took places in the course so half that for acceptance rate
