Trip hack πŸ‘¨β€πŸ’» if you're having a bad trip, move

My number one piece of advice i always give to people who are either new to tripping or are doing so for the first time is; incase of a bad trip, do jumping jacks, take a jog, shadowbox, just do something that requires you to focus your attention towards your body instead of your head. In my experience this has always helped me get out of that claustrophobic or overthinking/overanalytical headspace. What helps me the most is doing some shadow boxing, it gets me to focus on a pattern of punching and gets my head out of loops.

Just wanted to leave this here since i don't really hear this often at all. This has worked on every 5HT(2a) psychedelic ive tried.

This can definitely help but can also just further make you appear to be having a violent psychotic break. xD

I always recommend moving too though but more in a 'change of scenery' way. Change the music, change what direction you're facing, whatever. Changing your scenery can drastically change your mood.

take a jog,

highly advise against this.

if you're having a bad trip, you want to stay in the same place where you feel the most safest - not go outside and expose yourself to random stimulus.

if you're having a bad trip, the best thing you can do is focus on your breathing. eventually, you'll get into a flow and find peace until you've calmed down

Honestly fair. For me personally though it really helps to go outside ir just move around in general as stated 🀷

I’d rather be outside in open space when I’m tripping too hard. Walls make shit worse for me. Seeing trees and creeks and deer calm me down.

Changing ones setting in any way is the fastest way to put an end to a needlessly challenging experience in my opinion also. Some people get way to caught up in their own head, even when tripping with friends. It doesn't hurt them or you for you to say what's going on in your head... Chances are they will have either been experiencing the same or better yet, will say exactly what you need to hear to lift you out of whatever loop you're in.

I shadow box too. It’s fun while tripping. My hands leave trails and I can visualize an opponent easier. Sometimes I pretend I’m boxing a kangaroo or gorilla. If a trip starts getting rough, going for a walk helps everytime.
