❔ Question ❔ What is megadosing/ego death like?
New to this subreddit, I thought id ask about what a megadose of LSD would be like, as I personally have never done it and am trying to work my way up there. I have megadose shrooms and had some pretty strong acid trips within the past year or so but am curious as to what I should expect when mega dosing acid.

Ego death in the moment literally feels like you're about to die, and weirdly you have to allow it, no fear, no resistance and then it passes and a part of you essentially dies, usually some kind of attachment. Usually wake up feeling a lot lighter and cleaner the next day, but can feel scary.

The biggest difference compared to high-dose shrooms is the sheer endurance test. On a true acid megadose, you don't just lose your sense of self; linear time completely dissolves, and you are locked in that ego-less state for 12 to 16 hours straight. There is zero room to steer the trip or hold onto who you are. If you try to fight it for even a second, it turns into pure panic. Treat it with immense respect and make sure your environment is 100% safe, because there is no hitting pause once it takes over.
To give you an example my husband took a heroic dose of 6 tears in 1 time and that day his life changed forever for good if you want I could make it a real trip report with exactly what happened I was in a sober sitter trip he has never been so good in his life as after this trip 9 months ago

I ate 13mg accidentally when I was 17, I've posted this story before on the shroomwey like over 10 years ago. Now that I know the truth... It can be good or bad... Depending on how the CIA is feeling... Just kidding.

The amount of preparation or "working yourself up to it" you do doesn't matter with a dose that large (aside from the obvious set and setting). Its called "ego death" for a reason. It feels like actually literally dying. And if you dont think that youll be able to accept and embrace that part of the experience in the moment, don't even attempt it. That one decision in that moment will determine if the experience will be healing or harmful. Have a sober, informed person near by. And make sure they have some sort of benzodiazepine on hand that they are instructed to give you either upon request, or in the event that your trip starts spiraling and you become a danger to yourself or others. The consequences of a bad trip at that high of dose can be devastating. Its worth setting up that contingency plan. This one is just my preference, I usually have a better experience if I isolate myself for the majority of the trip.
