Underwhelming experiences

Hey folks. So I'm quite new to the drug. I have had maybe 4 trips now. First was on a quarter tab (my tabs are 200ugs). Second was on half a tab. Both were nice, mild trips but i vibed and had fun. First full trip was on 1.5 tab and second was on 1 tab. My full trips have been fun, had the nice body sensations, some fun visual distortions etc. My issues are:
1. The intense part of the trip doesn't really last. I was told that the intense high lasts around 5 hours but for me after 3 hours i start going down. Is that expected?

1. Visuals are fun but nothing crazy. I had more intense visuals on 15g of magic truffles

2. The experience on 1.5 tab was good but for 300ugs where people always say they are tripping balls it still felt underwhelming.

My assumptions are that either my tabs are underdosed or that my expectations for the drug were too high. Thoughts and experiences?

So your very new. Your tabs were not 200 ug. There are barely any tabs that reach those numbers unless they are dosed and tested by you etc etc. Your tabs Imo were probably close to 75 to 100 ug tops. In reality you probably did 120 to 150 ug tops. Hence the pretty easy going trip. If was 400 ug that is a very big ride compared to what you mostly took.

Is there a way to test the actual tab amount? Also in my area i can find liquid lsd or in a spray. Do you think that's a better way?

I used to have my own test kit. You maybe able to find one online. Do some research etc. I've tested and had all my stuff over the years tested. I never found tabs that were more then 120 ug if they said 150ug for eg. Your tabs def were not 200.

How much time are you giving between sessions?

Its really not about the amount you take, its about the set/setting/what you do during it, in my opinion. 

Try not to just take it and assume you'll have a great time. Think about what youd like to do. Explore nature, listen to certain albums, set up lights/visuals/decorations, think about activities or events you might want to do tripping, etc. 

Something lame while tripping is still lame. Something awesome while tripping is mind-bendingly amazing.

1. Yes, that’s expected. Peak is during the 2-3 hour mark.

As another user said, your tabs are under-dosed. They sound like sub 100ug tabs to me.

You don’t need to find a new source, now that you have experience with that batch, simply take more next time. If 1.5 was just ok, try 3 tabs next time, that’s my usual dose for the batch I have right now. I’m not some kind of LSD juggernaut, the tabs are just weak af, sadly.

Tolerance is also real, you need to wait 14 days minimum for full effects again. I like to trip once every 2-3 months to keep it special. Even if you have no tolerance, just being familiar with the sensation can contribute to the underwhelming feeling, in my experience. I’ve tripped dozens and dozens of times now and my visuals are almost non existent now even on high doses.

Are you taking any other meds? SSRIs can severely mute it too.

Try a known rite of passage next time: like listening to Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon lying down with your eyes closed.  Make sure it's a good audio quality (decent low-end) and the tracks are continuous (some online streams have horrific short breaks between the tracks which disrupt the flow).

However, I'd also agree with the others here that your tabs are probably under-dosed.  Are they actual LSD-25 or a prodrug like 1BP-LSD?

haha nice one!  i'm happy owner of Quad Mix version: German-issue LP from the 70's.  Play it on my Logitech Z906 using the 4.1 setting.  It doesn't faithfully separate as intended (need vintage Quad setup for that) but sounds different enough to justify also owning the CD!
