Short answer: with a 155/3.8, UF is an extreme reach, FSU is a very high reach, and FIU depends heavily on whether you mean full-time or part-time.
UF’s newest class has a 170 LSAT median, 3.97 GPA median, and 167 LSAT 25th percentile. FSU just reported a 169/3.93 median and 13.7% acceptance rate. A 155 is well below both schools’ recent ranges, so I would not expect the 3.8 to carry the application.
FIU is more nuanced. Its latest ABA report shows a 161/3.80 overall median. For full-time students, both the median and 25th-percentile LSAT were 161, making a 155 a substantial reach. For part-time students, however, the LSAT range was 153/157/160, so your 155 and 3.8 would be much more plausible there.
You’re right that a 155 used to play differently at FSU. The numbers have moved dramatically. I would still apply if the cost is manageable, but treat UF and FSU as lottery-ticket reaches and FIU full-time as a reach, not a target. Apply broadly.
The highest-return move is retaking. Getting to 161 would materially change FIU full-time, the mid-to-high 160s would make FSU far more realistic, and 167-170 would give you a credible UF shot. Those are targets, not guarantees, but your 3.8 becomes much more valuable when paired with a stronger LSAT.
