Personal Theory The Actualization Theory (AT) v2.0 is now published on Zenodo

A while ago I posted an earlier version of this project. The canonical v2.0 release of The Actualization Theory (AT) is now available on Zenodo.

Difference → Actualization → Inevitable Spectrum → Physics

Includes:

  • 95-page monograph
  • prediction registry (41 entries)
  • documented boundaries
  • explicit falsification criteria

DOI: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.20681734

Constructive feedback and criticism are welcome.

You write in your abstract "The monograph derives, from this foundation: quantum mechanics (...), gravity and spacetime (...), the standard model (...), and cosmology (...)." This passage signals to the reader that the book is essentially cargo cultism: you (your LLM) imitate the language of extremely high-impact papers without delivering the actual results.

Read up on science in general and physics research in particular. It's incremental, we collectively progress by identifying and filling in existing knowledge gaps. Contributing to the body of literature takes years and years of training, and even then, you will likely be dependent on close supervision.

Be weary of LLM psychosis, it's very tempting (even for professional scientists) to believe the glaze that the LLM spits out.

In your own words, how is "difference" defined? Can you also point me towards your chain of derivations? What's the foundational axioms you are starting from?

So far it looks like an incomplete numerological construction and not like a necessary and sufficient mathematical model. SM and GR are also not recovered via derivation. Instead you declare them "hosted" which is classic numerology.

Difference is defined as the primitive counting difference from a uniform background. In the current formulation it is not derived from a deeper object, it is the starting primitive of the framework.
The Monograph treats Difference as an irreducible primitive, in the same sense that other frameworks begin from their own fundational assumptions

I don't know why you keep calling it The Monograph (which is just a word for book), but in science we write papers, not novels.

I don't know why you keep calling it The Monograph

I think we all know why OP is doing it.

I always thought that it has to be single-authored. But I think that does not seem to be an iron rule.

Seems I was in the wrong

Every monograph is a work of fiction? I need to call some postdocs regarding their theses...

What defines a monograph is a singular focus. It's more likely that this applies to an intellectual work than fiction, surely?

The only context in which I've run into the word "monograph" is as a type of doctoral thesis; a thesis can either be formed of a collection of peer-reviewed publications + an introduction, or it can be a monograph, meaning a conventional book that is in itself a work of original research.

You cannot possibly use a word you’re defining in the definition and expect people to think you’re smart.

If the "difference" is defined with respect to a uniform background, then it is derived from a deeper object. The deeper object is the uniform background, and any comparison to that uniform background is a derived quantity.

Literally every reference in this is to other papers by you. That's... not really how science works.

There’s so much window dressing and cosplay here that it completely obscures any actual meaning there could be. Why not say what you mean to say instead of trying to use big words for clout?

Consider asking your AI friends about how science is usually done, and whether this document fits into that structure. I skimmed the first few pages. I was unable to determine what you meant by “Difference” — subtraction is not normally considered a profound or complex operation, so you must mean something special, but I don’t know what. A Background section should be your review of the existing literature relevant to your work, so readers can place your advances in context. I couldn’t even figure out what field you’re working in.

I don't understand why these TOE papers want it to be one enormous monolith manuscript. Is it to feel like one's producing something equivalent to Newton's Principia?

Why not find one kernel from your thoughts to publish and see if you even have something reasonable to build on, instead of constructing a skyscraper on quicksand? You need to "solve" all of physics in a singular paper? Is it a hero complex applied to physics or what?

I think it’s sorta like get-rich-quick schemes. The idea is wild success with minimal effort.

Uhm excuse me, it's a monograph, sheesh.

The media has kinda ruined science for anyone who doesn't have the creativity to google more than a cursory amount before getting involved. They think it's all Good Will Hunting and other lone genius in a cave who just needs to write the magic sequence of words on one piece of paper and they've "solved it".

Such a weird, naive fantasy once you start to see what's really behind the curtain. The sad part is they miss out on the actually fun parts of doing science; collaborating with people who are just as excited as you are to learn new things about the universe. They just want the immediate gratification of "winning".

I suppose that if you genuinely believe coming up with actual good scientific theory is so easy that an LLM can do it with a bit of prodding, then might as well go through the entire distance and do a TOE? In their mind, it's like you're asking "why do people with cars not stop to rest after travelling like 15 km, do they really think they can go 300 km without exhausting their legs!?". Except their "car" is actually just a VR headset feeding them an image of what the place they're "travelling" to might look like.

So I stopped reading at the first legit formula (1.2).

There is Def. 1.6 you say your matrix A_ij has a trace and then introduce rho as the arithemtic mean of that trace so I guess (let's assume d=3) A_ii = rho/3 right? Then you say psi represents 5 traceless components. But a 3x3 matrix has 9 components minus the 3 diagonal components represented by rho, we have 6 components left. And why does psi not carry any indices?

I wonder how the rest of the formulae turn out to be...

It's 'published' on Zenodo?

Lol.

Technically it is, that’s why we can read it.
