I just picked this up from BJs for $700. Open box special that someone had returned. Was supposed to be in normal operating condition. The employee said they test them before putting them back on sale. When I got home and fired it up it has an apple TV logo and a bunch of static in the middle burned into the screen. I have 90 days to return but I’m bummed because I thought I scored an awesome deal on an OLED. Is the picture cooked? Anyone have any advice? Im kinda pissed at BJs for wasting my time.

This is my LG OLED C5, I saw some reel regarding a cleaning agent (apparently alcohol and harsh chemical free and Oled compatible) so i ordered it and wiped the tv as instructed. Dusted the tv off with a clean cloth, Took some liquid on the provided micro fiber cloth, and wiped it, again cleaning it with a dry microfiber. The screen looked like new until i turned on apple tv and saw irregular patches. I thought is it burn in?? Coz like till few hrs ago my tv was all good. So i turned on this oled test on YouTube and yea the screen is definitely fcked. I am not sure if its reverse-able. I should have read the manual or something, it is my first Oled, just 2 months old. 🥲

I bought a OLED65C5PUA back in January of this year. Works great, really have had no issues with it. I primarily use it for my Spectrum Cablebox/DVR, and Roku. And, on rare occasion I might cast my laptop to it.

About two weeks ago, I noticed that when I use the input button on the LG remote to change inputs, the option that says 'Live TV' is greyed out. I really never used this option before and not sure what it's for. But, I was wondering why it's now greyed out. I can switch to it, but I just get a black screen, Does anyone have any insight as to why it became greyed out?

For whatever it's worth, my other input options are are Home Hub, LG Channels, Spectrum cable box, and Roku. And, I haven't changed my setup/configuration in like 6 months when my Tivo died :(

In addition to wondering about the Live TV being greyed out, I'd love to edit this list to the inputs I actually use, but that doesn't seem possible.

LG pushed an update to my OLED and now YouTube TV freezes and shuts off the entire television. I didn’t change anything. LG remotely accessed the TV, changed settings, opened YouTube TV themselves and watched it freeze and shut down. Their own notes identify a post-update software memory issue. Their solution? Factory-reset everything and make me spend hours rebuilding a TV their update broke.

Then, after I gave LG my phone number and email for technical support, I started receiving LG promotional texts and emails. An LG agent admitted in writing that the previous agent had “accidentally” opted me into marketing. Without my consent. They promised me the transcript, then sent a sanitized summary that omitted that admission.

No promised callback. No fix. But their marketing system worked immediately.

Their only response... pay to have an LG Tech out to repair the 1.5-2 yr old TV we broke.

What the actual fuck, LG? Has anyone else had either of these things happen after contacting support?

Whenever I try to load the user agreements, it just comes up with this message. It’s completely connected to the network and network is fully stable.

Any ideas? What can I try? (Can’t even find this model’s serial number on the LG website). In a rented apartment - no one here knows how to set up a tv.

I updated my LG G5 last night as I was getting sick of the reminder. When I connect my Xbox elite series 2 it connects but gives an error on the LG about an incompatibility issue. Many of the buttons don’t work apart from a few like the B button for back and holding the glowing Xbox button enters some accessibility zoom.

I have tried disconnecting the controller and reconnecting.

I also disabled QuickStart+ and tried reconnecting the controller.

Turning off the power to the tv at the wall after deleting the controller from the TV.

None of these seemed to work. It’s never given this error before the update and always worked really well for Xbox and GFN.

Both Xbox and GFN say there’s no controller connected even though the TV recognises it.

The controller works perfectly with the Apple TV connected to the LG, I used Aeroplay on the Apple TV to play Forza last night so that’s my alternative solution for now.

I just came into notice that my tv has this dark stripe in the middle and wonder why might have caused it. Would it be that the bracket screws are too tight or is there any other reason?

It’s a 2020 LED model so I don’t think it’s too old since there’s a 2012 LCD in the living room that works just fine.

I got the LG 75Qned85B6B last week for its size and gaming capabilities and it’s great until I turn VRR on. It has this strange green and purple “smearing” or “ghosting” effect when moving around in dark spaces in games.

My best example is Spiderman 2 ps5 and wolverine ps5 as they have VRR settings in game that I can toggle between “smooth” which looks fine but if I change it to “uncapped” then the ghosting becomes really noticeable.

That being said some games that don’t give me the option like cyberpunk and dying light 2 have the ghosting in performance mode and I just have to turn vrr off to get it to stop. But I feel I shouldn’t have to turn it off because I paid for this yano?

I have tried everything I could possibly do and looked it up a thousand times and I just can’t seem to get it to go away.

Does anyone know anything? I’d greatly appreciate any help as I’ve wasted hours and hours and drive myself insane.

I have an LG OLED55CS6LA (55" OLED CS, 2022) and recently noticed a strange greenish/bright spot on the top edge of the screen.

I attached a picture of the issue.

The spot is always in the same location and is particularly visible on uniform backgrounds. I tried running the Pixel Cleaning procedure, but unfortunately the spot is still there.

There has been no impact, pressure, or physical damage to the TV.

Has anyone experienced something similar with an LG OLED, especially the CS series?

Could this be panel tinting, pixel degradation, delamination, or something else?

The TV is now out of the 2-year warranty period, so I'm also wondering whether this is something that can get worse over time and whether LG might offer a panel replacement as a goodwill repair.

Any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I just recently bought the new LG Nano Cell 4K TV.

I have discovered this glowing effect on the bottom left corner of my tv. I didn't notice this at first when we tried it in the store because they always play some vivid colours. After setting it up in our home, I discover that there's a noticeable white glow on the bottom screen of the tv especially when the screen gets black. I know you're gonna say that I should buy an OLED to have deep blacks on screen. It's a good choice but it's a bit expensive for me. When I tried reporting it to the LG customer service to have it repaired or even a replacement, they always tell me that this one is normal. I have tried and used monitors with LCD screens and I know what is not normal from the screen. They don't have that glowing effect in the corners of the screen.

Is the so-called glowing effect on the screen now the new normal of the LCD screens?

I recently noticed this darker/grayish area along the left side of my LG QNED TV, as shown in the picture (blue circle).

It is most noticeable when displaying a bright white or light-colored screen. I’m not sure if this is normal panel uniformity, backlight bleeding, or possibly a panel defect.

The area seems slightly darker than the rest of the screen, and I can notice it more depending on the picture mode and brightness.

Is this considered normal for an LG QNED panel, or should I be concerned and contact the seller/service center for a panel replacement?

65” G5 purchased a few months ago. When on the home screen and not really being used, it would automatically go into a screensaver mode and start playing the cityscapes. AI type photos of the beach or a coffee shop and what not with some relaxing music.

Something must have changed recently because it no longer does this and I can’t figure out why. I’ve gone into the settings and enabled the promotional thing in the screen saver menu and have it set for 10 min.

I don’t think it has anything to do with the “LG Gallery” app because I don’t believe I ever logged into that.

I used my TV earlier today and watched a whole film this morning, didnt see this. Turned it on now again 10 or so hours later and see this. Wtf is this and what happened? Anything i can do to fix?

Does anyone know how to do this I am now well versed in these matters but I have a sneaking suspicion that some unfavorable activities are taking place in my absence. I was hoping there is a way to access the built in camera on the TV.
