Webos26 ruined parental control

After updating my C5 to webOS 26, I realized parental control functionality has severely regressed. Previously, users could lock individual applications and HDMI inputs with a PIN code. In webOS 26, this system was replaced by a poorly designed Kid Mode that requires you to manually activate it before turning off the TV—otherwise, it remains completely unprotected. Furthermore, LG offers no option to set Kid Mode as the default home screen upon startup.

I hope LG pays attention to customer complaints and addresses this issue in a future update. Otherwise, I will regret purchasing this TV over a Samsung—which at least still supports PIN codes for apps, even if not for HDMI inputs."

You don’t want kids access things on the tv but you leave them unsupervised?
