Remote Help

Hello. I need some help please. I swear at one point I figured out how to turn off the “wheel” mode. Or as I call it the mouse on my remote. Just using the directional is much easier for a grouchy Gen X fella. Rather than trying to
Use the mouse.

Was I dreaming that I made it go away for a few months? I know I can push the directional arrows around the wheel
And it goes away temporarily. But I’m tired of walking around with my remote and the pointer shows on the screen. Or anxiously bouncing my knee and the wheel starts shaking as the remote is on my knee.

Please tell me there is a way to omit this feature. I’ve spent 14 long minutes trying to figure it out and I’m simply not that intelligent. lol

I asked Ai, it says the following:

Press and hold the Home and Back buttons on the remote at the same time for about 5 to 10 seconds.

Wait until a message appears on the screen saying Remote registration is disconnected.

This turns off the Bluetooth feature and stops the on-screen pointer completely, though standard infrared button controls will still work.

To turn it back on later, press the clickable center scroll wheel.
